HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission will be presenting their final report today to Governor Dannel Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman.
The Commission formed in the wake of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Shooter Adam Lanza took the lives of 26 people, most of them children in December of 2012.
The 16 member panel reviewed policies on public safety, school safety, mental health issues and gun laws in the state of Connecticut. They drafted a nearly 300 page report focusing on all of these issues. The report is expected to outline needed changes pertaining to all of these issues.
The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission will meet at 3:30 today at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
