Autumn Twilight | A Prose Poem

There are moments, and then there are moments. Real moments. Moments when the light seems to freeze, upon the collect of objects, which you may happen to be facing. Or else when it does dissolve, itself over the reach of a blue horizon, and so lights up the autumn sky.

Likewise there are signs. And then there are signs. As what you might happen to be watching, with your own aspiring and second sight, in the form of tonight’s first rising star, materializing alone, in that new ether of the darkly disappearing azure. That nether opening of worlds, at which we may only ever wonder.

These moments and these signs, they approachingly enter into our eyes, like the visitations of grace, appearing from another realm or else, like the sole albeit myriad-subtle presence, of an incandescent light, which does carry us along and sees us through.
